Description of the Milky Whey RV rotary vane pumps

A range of flexible impeller (or vane) pumps made from die-pressed stainless steel aisi 316 with capacities up to 8.4m3 per hour and heads up to 20m sold either as wet end alone; pump and motor; pump and motor with motor cover (shroud) and tripod; pump and motor with motor cover (shroud) and stainless steel trolley mount for use in particular with dense or delicate liquids including liquids containing solids in suspension. The Milky Whey RV pumps are manufactured in Europe in accordance with the laws of the European Union. The Milky Whey RV pumps treat the liquids handled particularly delicately. The liquid remaings within the impeller vanes for just one quarter of one turn before being ejected into the outlet pipe.

SANITARY IMPELLERS

The Milky Whey RV pumps feature:
*Careful internal and external polishing to minimise presence of residues and deposits, and enhanced resistance to corrosion.
*Easy and rapid opening without tools for complete inspection and maintenance.
*Availability of stainless steel motor covers (shrouds), tripods, and trolleys.
*Inlets and outlets male threaded to DIN standards 1181, or with gas threads, or with flanges, or on request and subject to additional payment RJT or SMS couplings
*Motors to international IEC standards with IP55 protection suitable for continuous duty.
*Entirely in aisi 316 die-pressed stainless steel.
*Sanitary stainless steel mechanical rotative seals with EPDM rubbers
*Temperature -10 degrees C to +70 degrees centigrade for normal operation, temperature up to +90 degrees C. for cleaning.
*Maximum system pressure 5 bar.

Applications

Milky Whey RV pumps are for use with non-aggressive liquids and in particular:

ALIMENTARY LIQUIDS

Wine, grapes without stalks, fruit juices, tomato sauce, edible oils, beer, butter and melted cheese, cream, milk, condensed milk, eggs, honey, yoghurt, jam, liquid sugar, glucose and alimentary liquids generally.

PHARMACEUTICAL LIQUIDS

Wax, liquid soaps, creams, syrups, shampoos etc

LIQUIDS IN THE LIGHT CHEMICALS INDUSTRIES

Starch, water based glues, emulsions, glycerine, glycols, latex, animal and vegetable fats.

Do NOT use Milky Whey RV pumps for:

Liquids which are generally aggressive and dangerous to health and to persons animals and things in general, such by way of example as acids, solvents, naphtalene, chloric acid, hydrochloric acid in any concentration, hydrofluoric acid, muriatic acid, sulphuric acid, molten antimony and aluminium, ammonia, sulphur chloride.

Milky Whey RV pumps must not be used with inflammable liquids or in environments where there is risk of explosion. Milky Whey RV pumps must not be used with normal operating temperatures higher than 70 degrees C. or, for short periods for cleaning purposes, at temperatures greater than 90 degrees C.

Motors are of the enclosed externally ventilated type to IP 55 standards suitable for continuous duty The Milky Whey RV motors are NOT standard as they mount special flanges to accommodate the pumps.
