MILKY WHEY SERIES

Description of theMilky Whey sanitary pumps

A range of open impeller sanitary pumps made from die-pressed stainless steel aisi 316 with capacities up to 54m3 per hour and heads up to 35m sold either as wet end alone; pump and motor; pump and motor with motor cover (shroud) and tripod; pump and motor with motor cover (shroud) and stainless steel trolley mount.

The Milky Whey pumps are designed and manufactured to offer maximum hygiene and to avoid risk of contamination of the liquid pumped. They feature :
*Careful internal and external polishing to ensure maximum hygiene, elimination of residues and deposits, and enhanced resistance to corrosion.
*Easy and rapid opening without tools for complete inspection and maintenance.
*Availability of stainless steel motor covers (shrouds), tripods, and trolleys.
*Inlets and outlets male threaded to DIN standards 1181, or with gas threads, or with flanges, or on request and subject to additional payment RJT or SMS couplings
*Motors to international IEC standards with IP55 protection suitable for continuous duty.
*Entirely in aisi 316 die-pressed stainless steel.
*Sanitary alumina (aluminium oxide) mechanical rotative seals with EPDM rubbers
*Temperature -10 degrees C to +90 degrees centigrade
*Maximum system pressure 5 bar.

Applications

Milky Whey pumps are for use with non-aggressive liquids and in particular:

ALIMENTARY LIQUIDS

Wine, grapes without stalks, fruit juices, tomato sauce, edible oils, beer, butter and melted cheese, cream, milk (including milking machines), condensed milk, eggs, honey, yoghurt, jam, liquid sugar, glucose and alimentary liquids generally.

PHARMACEUTICAL LIQUIDS

Wax, liquid soaps, creams, syrups, shampoos etc

LIQUIDS IN THE LIGHT CHEMICALS INDUSTRIES

Starch, water based glues, emulsions, glycerine, glycols, latex, animal and vegetable fats.

Do NOT use Milky Whey pumps for:

Liquids which are generally aggressive and dangerous to health and to persons animals and things in general, such by way of example as acids, solvents, naphtalene, chloric acid, hydrochloric acid in any concentration, hydrofluoric acid, muriatic acid, sulphuric acid, molten antimony and aluminium, ammonia, sulphur chloride.

Milky Whey pumps must not be used with inflammable liquids or in environments where there is risk of explosion.

All readings are with water at 15 degrees centigrade, specific weight 1000 F/m3 and atmospheric pressure equal to 750mm Hg and are accurate to +/- 5%
