Description of the Flexmaster flexible impeller pumps

A range of flexible impeller (or flexible vane) pumps made from die-pressed stainless steel aisi 304 with capacities up to 36m3 per hour and heads up to 25m sold either with just the pump and motor or pump and motor with trolley mount for use in particular with dense or delicate liquids including liquids containing solids in suspension. The Flexmaster pumps are manufactured to norms of the European Union. The Flexmaster pumps treat the liquids handled particularly delicately. The liquid remains within the impeller vanes for just one quarter of one turn before being ejected into the outlet pipe. The Flexmaster pumps are also available with by-pass allowing pressure and flow control down to about 35% of the normal pump capacity. They are also available with dual speed motors. Applications

Flexmaster pumps are for use with non-aggressive liquids and in particular:

ALIMENTARY LIQUIDS

Wine, grapes without stalks, fruit juices, tomato sauce, edible oils, beer, butter and melted cheese, cream, condensed milk, eggs, honey, yoghurt, jam, liquid sugar, glucose and alimentary liquids generally where strictly sanitary pumps are not required. For hygienic sanitary pumps requirements please refer to Milky Whey RV sanitary rotary vane pumps and Milky Whey sanitary centrifugal pumps.

PHARMACEUTICAL LIQUIDS

Wax, liquid soaps, creams, syrups, shampoos etc

LIQUIDS IN THE LIGHT CHEMICALS INDUSTRIES

Starch, water based glues, emulsions, glycerine, glycols, latex, animal and vegetable fats.

Do NOT use Flexmaster pumps for:

Liquids which are generally aggressive and dangerous to health and to persons animals and things in general, such by way of example as acids, solvents, naphtalene, chloric acid, hydrochloric acid in any concentration, hydrofluoric acid, muriatic acid, sulphuric acid, hydrobromic acid, molten antimony and aluminium, ammonia, sulphur chloride.

Flexmaster pumps must not be used with inflammable liquids or in environments where there is risk of explosion. Flexmaster pumps must not be used with normal operating temperatures higher than 70 degrees C. except for short periods for cleaning purposes, when temperatures must not exceed 90 degrees C.

Motor specifications

Motors are of the enclosed externally ventilated type to IP 55 standards suitable for continuous duty.

The Flexmaster motors are NOT standard as they mount special flanges to accommodate the pump tie-rods.

Acoustic pressure (noise) in decibels

The maximum noise level with open outlet for the Flexmaster 120 pumps is 85.3dBA and 86.7dBA at 15m head.
The maximum noise level with open outlet for the Flexmaster 90 pumps is 70dBA. Acoustic pressure at 15m head is also 70dBA.
The maximum noise level for the Flexmaster 60 pumps is less than 70dBA.
